ElShaddai Centre Bhd (ECB) was set up in 2008 as an implementing partner with UNHCR, Kuala Lumpur, to run a refugee school named ElShaddai Refugee Learning Centre (ERLC). It commenced with 22 children, but today eight years later, there are over 400 students. Over the years, the number of refugees has increased tremendously worldwide and the resources of UNHCR are often stretched very thin, and ECB has had to raise all its own funds, even though the endorsement and cooperation from UNHCR continue.

Today, ECB has gone beyond education to several other works to engage with refugees, namely

  1. Education
  2. Healthcare
  3. Shelter
  4. Skill Development
  5. Social Enterprise
  6. Lodging
