The Sports Day was held on 5 May 2017 at Stadium Sultan Sulaiman, Klang. It started at 9 am with an opening prayer, and singing of the national anthem.
The jamboree of events drew cheers from the pupils, parents and visitors who had thronged the stadium. The events included hoop race, passing the ball, sack race, two-legged race, football, relay and tug of war. Gilang a/l Juwanto, an Indonesian from Green House really liked the tug of war game. Lily Ngun Par, a Myanmarese from the Blue House, liked the sack race and football match for the girls.
Though there was a slight rainfall, the students gave their best in all the races. The good team spirit among the pupils of all ages and between the sports houses was very encouraging. The highlight event of the day was the Tug of War. Not only the sports houses pulled against each other, the teachers also challenged the students in this event. However, the students were stronger and more energetic than their teachers.
In the Medium Junior 100m race, Shahab Suleman, a Pakistani from Year 6 and Ruma Aktar, a Rohingya from Year 3 were the fastest sprinters. In the Senior 100m race, Hrang Cung Bik, a Myanmarese from Year 5, and Rahmeen Fatima, a Pakistani from Year 5 were the fastest runners. Yellow House emerged as the Champion of the day.
A big heartfelt thanks to the principal, sports committee and teachers who had put in their best effort towards the success of this Sports Day.
